Jonas Wechsler: I'm a Solid Liberal.

I have a liberal family background.

I have/am voting in the 2016 election. I have never participated in a demonstration or volunteered for a campaign.

I am taking this class to receive credit at UT and to find a deeper understanding of contemporary politics.

I'd like to learn the ideas that are deemed important for modern political awareness by university academics. In general, I'd trust those with experience and qualifications to make the content calls there, though I think the evolving government regulations on the internet and technology are particularly interesting.

I scored an 80% on the civic literacy quiz.

I got 9 of 12 questions correct on the Current Event quiz.

I'm a big fan of the news site Hacker News, though it is predominantly technology related.
